10th Annual Walk for Children’s Breaks Fundraising Record

Walk for Children's participants

This June, UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation celebrated a milestone in our fundraising history: our 10th annual Walk for Children’s! In celebration of 10 years, we are proud to share that our community of patient champions, families, and community members raised a record $1,130,521! Thank you to all 3,928 walkers, 242 teams, and 68 sponsors who joined the effort to revolutionize children’s health.

About Walk for Children’s

Every year, patients, families, doctors, nurses, staff, and donors gather at Flagstaff Hill in the thousands to celebrate the children we serve: to honor their victories, to raise awareness and support for those still receiving care, and to stand in solidarity with every family at every stage of their child’s medical journey.

Celebrating 10 Years

The longevity of this event is a powerful reminder of how deeply our community cares about the health and happiness of our region’s kids. It is a reminder that the doctors, nurses, and staff at UPMC Children’s are second to none, and that our city is fortunate to be home to a world-class hospital. And it is a reminder that when we come together with a shared purpose, there is no limit to what we can achieve.

This year’s Walk for Children’s also aligns with another major milestone: the Foundation entering the final year of our comprehensive campaign, This Moment: Put a Child’s Future First. How fitting that, at this moment of reflection and celebration, we are also boldly envisioning a future where more children than ever before are thriving thanks to innovative care, treatment, and research made possible with your support.

If the past 10 years are any indication, we are just getting started.
