☕ Host a Warm Beverage Stand

Set up a drink station with coffee and hot water for cocoa and tea at your school, work, or local community event. Charge a few dollars per cup and offer seasonal add-ons like flavored syrups or marshmallows.

🎬 Organize a Watch Party

Bring people together for a movie night, sports game, or awards show. Ask guests to donate to attend and provide snacks or themed treats to enhance the experience.

💌 Gift Delivery Service

Offer to deliver small gifts or notes for holidays, birthdays, or special occasions. Suggest a donation in exchange for your help—perfect for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or even back-to-school surprises.

🏃 Launch a Fitness Challenge

Turn your personal fitness goals into a fundraising opportunity. Create a donation page and commit to a challenge—like running a mile for every $10 raised or doing jumping jacks for every dollar donated.

🍷 Plan a Tasting Event

Partner up with one of your community’s restaurants, bars, wineries, or breweries to offer a tasting class! Ask them if they’re willing to donate a percentage of every ticket sold back to UPMC Children’s. It’s a perfect way to drive traffic to a local business (especially during a “slow” time of year), while helping you fundraise!

❄️ Try a Bold Challenge

Whether it’s a polar plunge, pie-in-the-face, or dance-a-thon, bold challenges draw attention and donations. Encourage participants to raise a minimum amount to join in the fun. Once you secure the space and get all the necessary permits, you’re ready to start promoting your event. Encourage that all participants fundraise a minimum of $100.

Whatever your event may be, we cannot wait to hear about it. We have all kinds of tips and tricks located in our Community Fundraising Toolkit. Register your event here!
