PITTSBURGH – April 19, 2022 – UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation today announced the appointment of three new board members to the UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees.
Bryan C. Brantley, Esq., Partner, McGuireWoods LLP, Mr. John P. Burke, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Armada, and Mr. David L. Motley, General Partner, Black Tech Nation Ventures, have joined the Board of Trustees.

We are so grateful that they have committed their time and expertise to the Foundation.”
Bryan C. Brantley, Esq., is a well-rounded litigator with national experience in a wide range of industries including transportation, retail, construction equipment, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Brantley is a member of McGuireWoods LLP’s Board of Partners and the leader of the firm’s Transportation Industry Group.
Mr. John P. Burke is a 30-year veteran in the food industry and has spent his career creating and executing innovative supply chain solutions for national restaurant brands. Burke joined Armada in 1992, co-founded Hub One Logistics in 1996, and founded LXP in 2006. Both companies were consolidated under Armada in 2011.
Mr. David L. Motley is a General Partner of Black Tech Nation Ventures, a $50M Pittsburgh-based technology venture fund investing in seed stage companies with Black and diverse founders. David brings extensive experience in corporate governance, strategy development, and company formation and serves in leadership positions on multiple public, private, and venture-backed company boards.
