Children's Circle of Care

Children’s Circle of Care was established in 1995 by a group of prominent pediatric hospitals across North America.

Its mission is to advance philanthropy that supports patient care, teaching, research, and advocacy through educating and recognizing leading benefactors of its participating hospitals.

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC joined the organization that first year and today 24 hospitals participate in Children’s Circle of Care.

Currently, more than 100 Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation donors are members of Circle of Care. As members, they become part of something much larger than the gifts they have given. They are part of a caring, multinational community that is advancing pediatric medicine and making a lasting impact on children’s lives.

Become a Member of Children’s Circle of Care

Individuals who give $10,000 or more in a calendar year to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, either personally or through their privately held company or family foundation, qualify for membership. Individuals who have made cumulative gifts of $1 million or more since 1995 are recognized among Children’s Circle of Care lifetime members, the Royal Circle.

Your Children’s Circle of Care gift can be made in a variety of ways. Though it is often easiest to contribute cash, greater tax benefit might be achieved through gifts of property, such as stocks, bonds or real estate.

In addition, if the charitable portion of your deferred gift  totals $10,000 or more, you qualify for Circle of Care membership. Popular deferred gift plans include charitable annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and life insurance.
